As a keen gardener Geoff John became interested in growing bromeliads some years before finishing his teaching career.  As his collection grew so did his dreams of developing a hobby business to pursue post-retirement.

From those small beginnings his home-based hobby business grew and a large potion of his one acre home block in Mildura, Victoria, is now dedicated to propagating and growing these enchanting plants.  This has necessitated the construction of shade houses which now house about 3000 plants in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colours.

Geoff sells his plants at markets around Mildura but the interest in his vast collection is such that he can also be found the Spring and Autumn Garden Festivals and Meadows Market in South Australia where he has many repeat customers.

He is very knowledgeable about bromeliads and is able to provide expert advise on the growth and care of these plants to suit customers’ individual needs.
