The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market Management Board is proud to announce that the SA Spring Garden Festival – Mt Pleasant will now be held annually. This year it will be held on Saturday 23rd September 8am – 3pm at Talunga Park Showgrounds, Mt Pleasant.

The festival is proudly supported by the Mt Pleasant Farmers Market, and will take place in conjunction with a regular Saturday market day. The Festival Management Board is also very pleased to have the support of Nursery and Garden Industry SA Inc for the 2017 Festival.

Project Officer Terese Stephens said, “The collaboration between market & spring festival organisers worked in favour of both events, with an eager crowd to experience the award-winning farmers market & the very first Mt Pleasant Spring Garden Festival.”

Project Officer Terese Stephens said “As Mount Pleasant enjoys access to premium population areas – with the Barossa Valley to the North, the Adelaide Hills to the South, and just a short drive from the Murray lands – Mt Pleasant seemed to be the ideal spot for a Garden Festival.

The picturesque Mount Pleasant showground, (also known as Talunga Park) has plenty of parking, facilities to cater for large crowds, and has plenty of capability to grow with the festival over time.”

The Nursery & Garden Industry SA, Communications Manager Neville Sloss said “The Nursery & Garden Industry SA are very happy to be officially supporting this year’s 2017 event, as part of our ‘Improve Your Plant Life Balance’ campaign.”

The Nursery & Garden Industry SA also supported the recently held Clare Garden Festival, and the joint promotion with Mt Pleasant was welcomed by festival organisers and industry experts.

The SA Spring Garden Festival showcases a wide selection of plants, garden accessories and information to get you blooming and ready for spring!
