SA Spring Garden Festival 2018

The very picturesque township of Mt Pleasant will be the backdrop to 2018 SA Spring Garden Festival which will take place on Saturday 22nd September.

ABC’s Gardening Australia presenter Sophie Thomson will be one of the special guest speakers at the 3rd annual SA Spring Garden Festival held at the Mt Pleasant Showgrounds.

Festival organisers are thrilled to have confirmation of South Australian and Adelaide Hills resident, Sophie Thomson, a popular newspaper columnist, national public speaker, TEDx presenter, author, broadcaster and horticulturalist to be one their guest speakers.

Sophie’s enthusiasm for gardening will inspire people of all ages.

The festival now in its 3rd year has growth significantly in such a short time, supported by the  Nursery & Garden Industry of South Australia, and run in conjunction with the Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market, crowd numbers are expected to exceed the previous years significantly. Along with crowd numbers, stall holder numbers are already breaking records from previous years with enquiries still at an all time high.

Patrons can expect plenty of variety along with our guest speakers there will be free wicking bed demonstration/workshop & a FREE children’s floral design workshop, a cooking demonstration with bush tucker, and over 50 plant/gardening  related stalls.

Mt Pleasant Farmers Market, with an additional 50 stalls, will partner with the festival , and will extended  their trading hours to align with those of the festival day.

The SA Spring Garden Festival will welcome customers from 8am – 3pm.  A good range of food stalls will also be available until festival ends.

Ample parking is available, so come early and stay late.

Admission is $5 per person, $3.00 for concession holders and children under 15 Free.
